1. How much does a policy cost?

2. What am I covered for?

We cover holidays, leisure trips and business trips (if you select that option). We focus cover on medical & repatriation expenses and cover a wide range of adventure activities. For detailed benefits and exclusions, please see our Policy Wording

3. Who can buy it?

World Nomad's annual multi-trip travel insurance is available to UK residents only who are in the UK and is designed for frequent travellers.
Residents of other countries are eligible to buy World Nomad's long term cover.

4. How can I buy a policy?

You can only buy our policies online using a credit card. We accept Visa or Mastercard.

5. Is the transaction secure?

Yes. World Nomads uses a secure payment gateway that makes the credit card transaction directly and securely with the bank. We do not see, record or store these card details in any form. This connection through to the bank uses a 40bit encrypted SSL Web Server Certificate so that any information is encrypted or scrambled, making it impossible to intercept or steal.

6. Am I covered for Asthma or other medical conditions?

World Nomads does NOT cover pre-existing medical conditions. You can still take out a World Nomads policy with a pre-existing condition, but we won't cover any claim made directly or indirectly as a result of a pre-existing medical condition.

Definition of a Pre-Existing Medical Condition:
Ongoing medical or dental condition, or related complication you have, the symptoms of which you are aware of, or that is currently being or has been investigated by a medical practitioner, dentist or a chiropractor; or a medical or dental condition for which advice, treatment or medication has been prescribed by one of the people listed in this definition, within 180 days before you purchased your policy and/or booked a trip. This applies to you, your travelling companion, an immediate relative or someone upon whom your trip depends.

7. What if my trip is longer than 31 days?

Trips with a scheduled duration of more than 31 days will NOT be covered under this policy, and you should arrange separate insurance for the whole duration of these trips. Our Annual Multi-trip insurance policy is designed for short breaks, however World Nomads also offers single trip insurance for long-term travellers. UK residents can get cover for durations of up to 18 months initially and then extend the trip. Find out more....

8. Are my digital camera and other valuable items covered?

Yes, these are covered automatically if you purchase a Gold level policy (Individual item cover is £250 with a valuables limit of £400 and an overall cover limit for your personal possessions of £2,000). If you choose a Bronze or Silver policy, these are covered only if you include the option for Baggage & Personal Belongings and pay the additional premium, please note different cover limits apply.

9. What's the difference between "annual" and "annual multi-trip" policies?

An "annual multi-trip" policy provides cover for numerous trips within a one year period – this could be for leisure or business purposes, however please note that for coverage on business trips you must select the Travelling on Business / Work Abroad option and pay an additional premium (not available on Bronze policy).

An "annual" policy provides continuous cover for a single trip over one year (this means once you return to your normal place of residence in the UK, your cover comes to an end, regardless of whether or not that year is up). 10. What countries do you consider to be part of Europe?

If you are selecting Europe as your destination, you are covered for travel within the following countries:

Albania, Andorra, Austria, The Azores, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, The Canary Islands, The Channel Islands, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Lapland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Mediterranean Islands, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey and territories formally known as USSR west of the Ural Mountains.
